OP contour gl CEG\'er C Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 89 philadelphia	hi ladies and gents in summer of 2004 i replace all 4 mounts on my contour gl 4cyl with 78,250 all powered duretect just cant stop the engine tremble when i idle its fine but you put it in gear (automatic) the whole front tremble what could cause it to do that with new mounts even worse with defroster on you can look at dash just vibrate i am tired of this any help !!!!!! R.A

First thing to do is search for an air leak in the vacuum hoses and intake system after the MAF. The brake booster hose has been giving a few people problems lately, so be sure to check that one too. Next try new Motorcraft replacement plugs & wires if you haven't done that lately. These cars seem to prefer Ford Motorcraft ignition parts, nothing else will do as well. Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
