When Ford changed the Contour in 98 was the floor pan changed at all, will floor mats from a earlier Contour fit my 98?

The only thing that changed was the front in and the tail lights. The trunks are swapable. So the floor mats will work in either car.

there area alot more things that were changed, those are the easy ones to see

there are many small differences that you would on;y see if you put a pre and post 98 side by side

I beleive they changed something and the post 98s have more back seat space, the front control arms, motor mounts, center console, dash, seats, radio, etc ...

but the floor mats are the same shape

i believe they extended the roofline so the back seat would have more head room

The seats have changed, also rear floorpan is different, nothing else has changed. As far as body components...from the cowl forward is different...the rear decklid & bumper are different. Everything from the cowl to the rear quarters is exactly the same ie: shell, roof, doors, quarters, rockers, firewall/cowl, etc...w/ the exception of the rear floorpan, the front pan is the same.
