anyone have any problems (past or present) with their exhaust manifold? something is definately wrong with mine but i'm not exactly sure what. the performance is still there, but now my car is louder from the engine bay and exhaust is comin out from the engine bay. it's not so loud that it wakes up the neighbors (i asked them believe it or not) but loud and annoying enough when your filling up for gas. could be a stud, or gasket, yet i don't think i cracked it. anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Sean

Hard to say, check the area by wear the ypipe meets the headers. Im not sure that the mtx contours have a flex pipe but the Atx do and they tend to wear quickly. I would suggest the duratec performance section or better yet trouble shooting.

Maybe if you start your car out in the cold you can track the leak via the exhaust steam? Soapy water could be used also. Like XKontour98 said, I would guess it's a breakup between two pieces of the system.

Buy my gutted manifolds and put them in while you're digging around in there!

Good luck with the troubleshooting.
