I really don't have to rag on mine. If I get on it I will be doing well over the speed limit.

I've got 130k on my early on production 95 and normally I shift around 3-4k rpm but I do run it out to about 5.5k rpm, I only go to red line every so often as there isn't much nore power above 5.5k rpm

I am not always easy on the car, had it since 83k and it has been an amazing car, hell I had emission testing done today and the numbers were so low I think I could run with out an exhaust sytem and still pass

back when I used to drive my car I would always take 1st gear to redline and almost second...and I'd rarely ever use 5th gear.

Some nights my car would be smelling roasted after some time out...

I miss those days...

I usually use the downhill of the on-ramp to my advantage to get up to speed, then Ill just coast. my atx zetec does downshift while cruise ctrl is set going uphill, but I think its power issues there.

Don't feel bad guys, we got 125 hp. (most of us) in a car that should have in my opinion at least 180 hp. optimal 225+. The car weighs 2800 lbs. She gonna be slooooooooooow. like my stats on the bottom say.

Contour's are not designed for straight ahead acceleration.
The are better suited for the curves.
