O-k...what is the final word on the fluid recommended for a fully functional MT with no grinding or trouble getting into gear?

I bought Redline MTL per Demon's previous recommendation, but now it looks like the consensus is the new Chrysler ATF or the new Penzoil ATF.

The temp here rarely gets past 25F in the winter, if that helps.

I had a similar question - most suggested the Chrylser ATF.
The Pennzoil is in mine now - I don't like the results.

if you read back though post I beleive the idea is the Redline is the best if you have no issues with your trans, meaning grinding and such as it is synthetic

if you have problems with the trans you want to use dino oil or the Chrysler ATF+4 is the best

Synth
Redline MTL
Penzoil Syncromesh
Ford Honey (but it's $$$)

Dino - syncro problems already
ATF+3 or ATF+4

ATF will never protect like a gear oil will but if you have issues already you don't want to use synthetic.

2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
