How can that itty bitty car weigh in at 2800lbs!!!
The 4-door J-body doesn't weigh that much fully loaded. (2650-2700 lbs)
What the hell did they put in it???

170HP @ 2800lbs
I hope your being sarcastic...
My mx-3 wieghs 2530lbs, and I have about 172 HP.. and its capable of hitting flat 14 with traction,
so I don't think that car is going to be that quick.
Honestly, what the F is wrong with you to compare a hard top coupe to a Convertible? Do you honestly understand the extra weight automakers have to put ino a convertible to keep the safety and rigidity standards up to the Govt's specs.
Comparing your motor swapped 1993 MX3 to a 2006 production car is just plain stupid.
I guess his point went clear the hell over your head.
ding ding ding, damn... I was stating the fact that it has such low horsepower, but as someone suggesting you oviously didnt think before you posted
No I got it , but I think a Convertible for under $25K loaded with comfort, good looks, and 170 HP in a RWD chasis should hit mid 14's easy! 170HP is now considered low? Think Z4 2.5 category. Think how much fun the 140HP Miatas are and how extra HP just throws the balance of the car off.
Plenty of excitement for a car that size!

sky: yuk
-4 banger
-roadster/convertable
-looks like someone backed it into a wall, and those ugly humps
aura: ok except
-no manual trans
-looks too much like the altima and the sebring among others
-on paper, looks like the driver may have to deal with too much computer interference
just my two pennies
if these cars are at the la auto show then maybe i will think differently tomorrow when i am there, but in the meantime i don't like either.

Isn't the Aura presented in the pics, a cg model? At least the interior.. Does anyone else feel Saturn's current lineup reminds us of what some of us made up in AutoCAD or Inventor, while the teacher bored us all to death? Saturn's cars just look like they were designed without different camera angles in mind...

I think I read in Autoweek that the big rumor going around Detroit was that Lutz was going to make Saturn into a "poor man's Lexus" ie getting the fit and finish up to Lexus standard withouth teh price. From the looks of the Aura it could be a possiblity I guess. we'll see. Saturn certainly has the dealership status to try though.

Saturn won't, Saturn owners will. I predict you will be seeing beat up new Saturns within a year of them hitting showrooms.
It seem like every Saturn I see has serious rash issues, or part of the Rubbermaid exterior missing.

I have to admit they are going in the right direction if they keep with these concepts!
A few years a go when I worked at Saturn they said that the new Sky and upcoming Sedan would be something special and they definitely have come quite far from there I current line-up!
I am impressed, however I am not feeling the interior on the Aura.

Never thought I see the day that Saturn would make a car I liked. That sky is nice...could use a lil more power though.
