Bought my first SVT yesterday, very happy ect.
Feew questions though,
The lights seem to flicker, wondering if this was normal, headlights?
The drivers window switch panel, the rears tend to not go up when pressed, common fix?
Read the FAQ and couldn't see anything.
Have some background with the SVT, from England with the Mondeo , not a big difference.
Thanks, James

Welcome, and congrats!! With the lights- this is common w/ small flickers, from voltage fluctuations. Test the voltage with the car idiling. Also make sure your battery cable clamps are tight, this could cause it. With the windows, try replacing the switch. Easy and cheap from a junkyard.

Thanks, just a little worried, just bought the car and driving at night could see them flickering, instantly thought Alt. I noticed it was a little harder for the car to start as well? (at night)

Yeah, could be an alternator. I know playing the music pretty loud can make the lights dim.

Arsenal.. In each forum, according to what you are looking for (maintenance, performance, aesthetics, etc) there is a FAQ topic pinned at the top... the FAQ under Duratec maintenance contains a link to Alternator removal. a little bit of a PITA!!!! Maintenance FAQ HTH Ray

I have flickering lights too ... thinking it's the alternator since it's been whining something noisy lately.

Well just got back from autozone, asid the battery was fine 100% chargerd, the voltage regulator was constant at 12V I think, may have been 14.
The amapage was constant at 120. Shouldn't it be 200?
Thanks

Also the idle seems to be low, around 600, went to adjust and realized its electric. Read on one of the threads it might be the fuel pump going out, as its pulling the volts to keep itself going?
