Has anyone ever replaced a 99-00 Contour(SVT) dash with a 98 Contour(SVT) dash. I have had problems with two dashes in my 99 CSVT so I want to get it right the third time. I was also wondering if anyone has the dash fix installed on a (2nd gen.)replaced dash, & if so how is everything holding up. I am asking this because I was thinking of having the fix installed on the third dash (if it's not a 98 dash)before it's put in the car. I'm really trying to come up with a long term solution for the dash warp issue this time. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me. Aaron

IIRC the EO 98's didn't have problems with dash warping. Better get more advice from people with 98's. And what other problems are you having with the dash? If they did the dashwarp fix right the first time, you shouldn't have had the problem again. Good luck with your problems though.

No dash warp here! 98 Dashboard ownz... one of the reasons i swayed towards a 98... I'm not sure if anyone has done the swap, but from what i've heard it isn't a walk in the park!

Its probably the only good thing about the 98's
I wanted a 00 because of extra HP, better shift linkage, and TAN interior...
But yes, my dash rocks....still solid.

I have normal dash warp, bubbles above the passenger air bag, peeling up where it's wrapped inside glove box, and unwraping on top right of instrument cluster. These problems are on my second dash. My first was replaced under waranty in April of 2001. I'm now trying to get my third dash, but I wondered if anyone who had there dash replaced during the "Program" was starting to have any of these problems again. I'm just curious to see if they addressed the problem or if they just gave everyone the same old crap. I realy want a '98 dash, but I'm not sure it's possible to substitute one for a '99 dash. My second choice would be a new dash with the fix kit on it(just incase). I have 1998 dash envy Thanks for the input so far guys. I'll keep you updated on my progress.
