You want them to make headers for a car that's been out of production for nearly 5 years? Bwahahahahahaha!

Why would they go out of their way for a dieing market? You do realize that with the name Borla, they would most certainly price their headers, upwards of $800.00 for our cars. Take into consideration that we already have a well developed set of headers for our cars(MSDS) that can be had for quite a bit less than that. Honestly, I'd like to see just how many sets of headers MSDS sells a year for our platform. ~50? And that's for 2 different vehicles that run that same setup(Contour/Cougar). So in other words, it wouldn't be worth the R&D, Borla would have to put into making a set of headers, when they won't even break even after a year of production.

could be the same reason Edelbrock or any big name company doesn't make aftermarket performance parts for our cars...

I for one would like to see a mid or long tube MSDS header . The SHMs long tubes made some REAL nice numbers, especially in the mid and low end.

Give it some time and they prolly wont even be making a cat-back for our cars. It's a waste of their time to manufacture products that are not selling good anymore, let alone come out with new products for the same vehicle.

"Out of production" is irrelevant. The real issue is sales volume.
Subies are very popular, even the ones that are out of production. (Not sure if Borla plays there, but still.) Most of the Honda Civics being modded out there are not the current production model, either.
Lots of OOP American muscle cars have tons of aftermarket support, 30 and 40 years after their "death." Same goes for Italian and German cars, too. Crap, even Alfas have good support, and they haven't been sold here since before the Contour was born.
Volume, volume, volume. That's the reason. How many Contours were sold with V-6's? How many Contour owners give a crap about headers?
Function before fashion.

Why do you have this hard-on for Borla? Their stuff is good, but c'mon, it's not the ultimate; in fact it's overpriced.

Actually, would it not fit on other 3L Duratec vehicles?
