Ok, I have 2 problems. First off, my car is a 95 manual contour, about 99000 miles. A while ago my parking brake light started coming on when i turn corners. then it would come on more and more, now it is on all the time except sometimes when i put on the foot brake to slow down or stop. the weather has been in the 20's to low 40's if that has anything to do with it. I just did a 150 mile drive and back and it was almost all freeway time and the light didnt come on on the freeway. it really bugs me having the light on I know there is a recall out on the wiring harness and i havent gotten that taken care of, is that maybe it? any suggestions would help!

My other problem is my door locks. they are the manual ones. the front driver and passenger wont open from the inside, i try to unlock the passenger side from the inside and it doesnt work, its almost like its stripped or somethin on the inside of the lock. to open it i have to get out of the car and unlock it with a key, i also found out that my driver door does this as well when i accidently locked my self in the car. any ideas what i can do for this? if i need all new locks about how much would it cost and would it be possible to put in an automatic lock system? or keyless entry? thanks!

Check your brake fluid. It's low, so top it up ASAP. This light serves two purposes - parking brake and brake fluid level.

Your light goes off periodically because the fluid moves around during braking / accelleration.

you probibly have the exact same problem I did... My brake fluid kept slowly getting low... I would have to fill it once a week... So I looked into it more... I let it sit overnight, then checked under my car to find nothing... Someone suggested for me to check on the inside of my back wheels (under the drum brakes) and TA DA! Brake flid was puddleing in there... my passenger rear brake cylender was shot... Basically when it went it just started to leak all of the time, and shut off power to the rear brakes, I needed a new cylender, and pads... took about 3 hours to Take it apart, clean it up, and re assemble it again with the new pads... Check out the back side s of your rear wheels next chance you get.

Exactly .. same thing happened to me (except my dad and I couldn't get the drum off, it was stuck, so we had it done at Sears )
