i have a dual voice coil rockford sub, and a sony 2150GSx (150x2 in 4 ohms). (the coils are 4 ohms each) What would be the way to wire this without frying my amp but still getting the most power possible.

Wire the sub's voice coils in series. Then, bridge the 8ohm circuit you just created to the amp. Your sub will be receiving 300w.
Unfortunately, your amp is not 2ohm MONO stable (same thing as 1ohm STEREO). On the plus side, you could add another 4ohm DVC sub and (theoretically) send 300w to each sub.

I pity the fool who try and run a 2ohm mono load to a 4ohm mono stable amp!!!

Yep, series that puppy or you'll shorten the amps life (maybe sooner than later ) Also, no matter what Dave says, dont run one coil [Austin Power] Its just not Cricket [/AP] :p Best thing to do is get another dvc or get a single 4 ohm instead of the woofer you have.

There is a somewhat lengthy post of mine in this thread.
Have fun with the install!

Just run it stereo ! but switch (if possible) it to 2channel mono, left channel 1 4ohm, right channel 1 4ohm load - either way you result in 300w/2 with the same %THD

And, I wouldn't recommend it if you could. You'll risk frying your amp by running it at a lower impedence than it is capable of. In short, you cannot safely put more than 300w to a 4ohm DVC sub using this amp.
