Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knows what year Cougars had the leather shift knob with the aluminum shift pattern insert and for reverse lockout. Also, is there anyone out there willing to sell me one in excellent shape??? I just got a B&M short shifter, but when you live where it is friggin' 0 degrees in the morning and you don't want to freeze your hand off or wear gloves to drive, you don't really want a cold billet knob freezing your fingers. One day it was so cold I swear if I was dared to lick my shift knob, I'd be like the kid in A Christmas Story. I don't want to have to call the fire department. So, if anyone can help me out in either case, please let me know. Thanks.

I have one and I love it. I live in MA too so the winter here is bad as well. My car is parked out in the driveway so I know how you feel about the cold in the morning. They cost $45, thats how much mine costed. definetly worth it.

When I bought mine, I just called Bill Jenkins and aksed for the black/silver Cougar knob. He knew exactly which one it is. but I believer it's the 2000-2004 knob.

Here is what I did for my shifter. I put a MOMO shifter and boot on mine. It was only about $50 to do.

I really like that shift knob and the leather on my CSVT one is ripping. Where did you get that knob? I am having trouble finding it anywhere.
Thanks
