Just finished installing my Blaupunkt America and Kenwood EZ-500. I have it plugged into the AUX input so I don't have to deal with the FM modulator. Thought I'd throw some pics up to see what you guys think. I'm loving Sirius so far!

Installed in my '99 Contour SE:

You can change the button color to green on the EZ-500, so it'll match the dash illumination.

I did a similar install with my Pioneer HU and a Clarion Sirius receiver. I took apart the lighter adapter cord and hard-wired it to the switched power source on the HU. Looks much cleaner, and the receiver will power on/off with the ignition.

I love Sirius!

Thanks. I mounted my antenna on the trunk. I started to mount it on the roof, but the wire didn't fit that neatly under the seal around the back window. Seems to work perfect on the trunk.

Yeah, I was playing with the different colors, but the red is brighter and easier to read. Would be pretty cool if it could change to blue to match my Sirius receiver, but it's no big deal. How did you hardwire your unit's power? I would love to be able to do that.

If you cut the lighter plug off the power wire, you'll see two wires (probably red & black). Just splice into the radio's switched power and ground.

Works like a charm. Sirius tuner turns on/off with the ignition switch. There's barely any noticable wiring.

One more thing...

There's a fuse in the lighter plug. I'd suggest fusing the power wire with a in-line fuse holder. You should be able to get one for under a $1 from Ratshack/BB/CC. You don't want to fry your new tuner!

I'm guessing Radio shack.....you could probably find those things at a car audio place or general car parts store as well.

The rap DJs on the sirius radio are funny. They don't like braided hair or the NBA.
