I reversed the cables on the battery post and pulled it immediately when it sparked. I have checked the fuse box in the engine compartment and the interior. Replaced all fuses I saw that were blown. It even blew the Mega Fuse and replaced that. Started the car up to see the Battery inidicator light is still on. Check the voltage at the battery with car running and the alt. isn't charging still... How can I check those big 40A and 75A fuses in the engine? Do I just replace them? Or could the alternator be damaged. I just put this one in a month ago. I am thinking it shouldn't be hurt if the Mega Fuse blew. Where should I troubleshoot next? Thanks.

There is a mega fuse to the alternator in line between the battery and the alternator as well.

That was blown and replaced. No idea what to check now...
