Hello everyone, I am new to this site and find it very interesting. Just wondered if anyone knew which is bank one and bank two on a four cylinder Zetec. As far as I know there should only be one bank. But how do you know which sensor to replace on a 96 contour. There is one on the exhaust manifold as well as on the pipe from the manifold. The code reader reads sensor one bank one. Thanks again

Bank one- the o2 on the manifold
Bank two- the o2 on the pipe.

The Zetec only has one bank. There is no Bank Two.

Sensor # 1 is the one closest to the engine, before (upstream of) the catalytic converter.

Sensor #2 is after the converter (downstream).

Thanks for the help Steve. I was thinking the same thing but wasn't 100% sure.

Mine lists bank two....maybe it is dependant on the scanner you are using.
