I have been looking at an exhaust system for my 98 CSVT that I just bought. I really like the Trubendz setup and I am pretty sure I will go with the borla mufflers because I love the sound and I have them on my camaro, but what I am not sure about is whether I shoud go with the 2.5 inch or 3 inch setup since they have both. I don't have any other mods to the car at this point and my Z28 is gonna be my go fast car so I am wondering if 3 inch will be overkill. Also, I would think I should go with the non resonated, is there any reason I should get the resonated version?
Your input is appreciated.
Thanks

3" is for FI cars. 2.5" is probably more than your 2.5L can even exhaust (excuse the pun).
Get the 2.5"...sounds great!

2.5" is probably good for any all motor setup anyone will ever have.

Ok well it seems that 2.5 inch seems like it would be fine to go with. I am just used to large exhausts since I have 3 inch all the way back on my Z28. Any other opinions on whether to get resonated or non resonated?

The resonated system is pretty quiet between 2700 and 3500 rpm. Its really good for highway cruising and has almost no drone whatsoever.Above 4000rpm it gets pretty loud. At idle it has a really deep rumble with the Magnaflows. I have heard that the non-res system is pretty loud all around.

Well if you happened to look at my sig you can probably see that I am used to loud, so anything I put on the CSVT will be "quiet" to be when I am used to a cammed camaro with headers and an exhaust which basically doesn't go through the muffler at all.
So most likely I will go with the non resonated setup. Thanks again guys.
