Which do you think is more of a social negative in the public setting?

More socially negative would be fart-lighting, IMO. There are a few socially acceptable location for nose picking, such as in the car. Most people get behind a door of a car, and actually believe that nobody can see them picking their nose. I have never seen anyone light a fart inside their car.

My best friend in high school used to pick his nose when his inspection sticker was expired and he passed a cop. He stopped lighting his farts when he didn't expell fast enough and the flame kinda imploded. He couldn't sit for a few days. He never tried that ignition sequence in his car to my recollection.

Using such balsy actions such as passing cops, with an expired inspection would NOT be considered socially "acceptable", by MY standards, at least. Now, if he were to do it while the cop was standing at the window of his car (writing a ticket for said inspection) then THAT would be funny...
I can say I have never lit a fart, or even tried. Anyone?

I think it really depends. What's more of a social negative, picking someone else's nose or lighting your own farts?
