How do you lose in the first round when you don't play a first round game??????

Opps my bad, but you knew what I meant.

No I didn't know what you meant because the 13-2 patriots who apparently "suck" won't be playing a first round playoff game. Face it, the steelers beat the Pats fair and square, but they certainly didn't kick their asses. These are both good teams. Home field doesn't mean as much either way in terms of climate because both teams are cold weather teams. If you have to play Indy, then you definately want them in the burg not the dome. Don't forget that the pats had to win on the road in 01 before coming home for the oakland game and the "tuck rule". I'm not making up excuses but presenting facts. You beat us without Corey dillon. Having Dillon in the playoffs will be a different story. This game on paper is as close to a toss up as you can get. Tom Brady is living proof that a guy like Big Ben may be capable of winning it all, but even Brady was in the NFL for 2 years before winning the super bowl. He didn't play, but he learned the NFL game. I think it is a different story having a true rookie in there.

BTW, didn't big ben get hurt yesterday? What happened to him?

Ok put on your thinking cap for a second now. In order for a team in the AFC to go to the Super Bowl they have to Beat Pittsburgh IN Pittsburgh. ALL playoff games that the Steelers play will take place in the Burgh and the teams have to travel there. Even if they play the Pats in the Conference final it will be in the Burgh.

Even if the Steelers lose their first Playoff game, which there is no chance, that team still had to go through the Burgh to move onto the next round or ultimatly make it to the SB

Sports not your strong point huh?

Ooooh now he wants to count Super Bowl wins . Bad move . Obviously not a sport enthusiast. Steelers have won not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 Super Bowls rings. Which include winning 4 SB's in 6 consecutive seasons. (YES that means the Steelers have "won two Super Bowls" twice and back to back ....Hense the 1 for the Thumb.

Where you even alive then? Pittsburg's had a good year but to hail them as the next coming of the "Steel Curtain" shows just how little you know about football. I understand your need to dance around like a goofball because it's been awhile since you've had a football team to cheer for so let me give you some advice. Don't kill yourself when they don't win one for the Chiller!

I am not saying New England sucks or is anything less than an excellent team. However, even when Pittsburgh was a mediocre team... they just didn't lose at home, and now that they have a great team, I don't see anyone able to beat them in Pittsburgh.

My thinking cap is on. Now, will you take your head out of your ass??

Pats will have a bye too. If the steelers lose in the first round and the patriots win there will be a game in New england and if new england wins that game than their "road to the super bowl" will not go through pittsburgh. I hate it when that stupid ass statement is used by sportscasters in a lame attempt to be dramatic.

I am a Pats fan and even I can admit that Pittsburgh handed it to the Pats. It was like 24-3 after the first quarter. The game was never really close.

Also, the Pats didn't have to win on the road before the game against Oakland in '01. They had a first round bye, then the snow game against Oakland, then the AFC title game in Pittsburgh.

HAHA buddy do you realize you make no sence at all? Nothing like the Steel Curtain? Having the #1 rush defense in the NFL not to mention the #1 overall defence in the NFL..oh wait did i forget to mention 3 defensive players going to the Pro Bowl? And you tell me I know little about football. Please tell me who YOUR team is? As for the Steelers they have won 4 SB's (plus the appearence in 96)there are only two teams that have won more and that is Dallas and SF w/ 5. So thanx but winning in the Burgh is something we are accustomed too i dont need to "dance b/c its been a while since Ive had a team to cheer for" Dont kill urslef trying to catch up to date. Do your Homework man.

HAHAHA, exactly. I was just waiting for someone else to point that out to rub it in because at least twice I've heard that "steelers can't be beat in pittsburg!"

In doing research I saw 2 things. Steelers jumped out on pats in first quarter big. Remaining 3 quarters patriots win 17-13. A win is a win, but the patriots only ran the ball 5 times because dillon was hurt and the hole that they dug themselves. I don't think they will dig that same hole again. Other stat is that patriots had a tougher schedule this year. combined record of steelers opponents (assuming eagles lose tonight and rams win) 105-120
Combined records of patriots opponents 117-108.

Bottom line, I don't have to like the steelers and you don't gotta like the pats, but we gotta respect each other because this will be a good game. (even though I think the pats with dillon healthy will destroy pitt)

face it man the Steelers arent going to lose 1st playoff game....the pats might not either but in the AFC conference Fianl in the Burgh btw Pats and Steelers, Steelers come out victorious. No one beats them at home.

P.S. the Steelers beat the Pats earlier by 2 touchdows that is a significant margin. Not to mention how they handed it to you from the beginning. Pats didnt have a chance.
