I have seen in most posts that the 4 and 11 fuses had to be pulled. I have a 2000 SVT and there is no 4 fuse. I checked the manual and it shows 4 not being used. It shows 6 as the EEC memory. I pulled the 6 and 11 and that seemed to reset my check engine light. Should I asume this was done correctly?

My 4 and 11 fuses were in the "under the hood" fuse box. I pulled them for about 2 minutes, and my CEL went off, which usually does mean you have reset the engine computer, erasing its "KAM (keep alive memory). The computer will re-learn all of its settings.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

There was a post on this a while back. The wiring is substantually different on the 99 and newer cars. To see which fuses to pull either check your owner's manual to see which fuses are for the keep alive memory of the PCM or do a search and learn from someone else's wisdom.

it was the box under the hood. no 4 fuse even in the box. I can only assume that it would be the 6 and 11 because according to the manual they are the only entries for the EEC.
No entries anywhere in manual for the KAM.
