I need some help! My clutch is dead. I have a Spec Stage 3 that was intended for a future project. I would assume that putting that cluth on a stock vehicle wouldnt harm anything, the reverse would however (having a supercharged car and stock clutch) Does anyone know of a problem with using a aggresive clutch with a stock vehicle? or does anyone have a new stock clutch that they would want to sell or perferably trade for the Spec?! Also, if anyone has replaced the clutch before, any tip, hints, or problems I may run into.

Thanks
Dave

No harm in installing the stage III however it will be way more bite than you need and won't be as smooth as stock. That's the sacrifice you make for a stronger clutch clamp. As for tips on installing it, have someone else do it. It's a PIA. About 11 hours if you know what you are doing. Subframe has to come down and three of the 4 motor mounts have to be undone so you can angle the drive train to get it out. Make sure your slave cylinder is good or else you will be going through this again. When you are done be sure to bleed the clutch well and have extra brake fluid handy as you will likely go through a lot of it.

I have that same clutch behind my Zetec. I dont really have any complaints. She might not like the way it makes the coins vibrate in the coin holder though.

Isn't that from your solid motor mounts though, Jon?
