Sorry, I'm sure it has been discussed numerous times, but I did do a quick searh.

Anyways, am looking for another car that is newer with less miles than my 96SE. Has anyone found a decent company that sells extended warranties and doesn't b!tch when a claim is made? I looked at one earlier that seemed to cover just about everything, with no deductible. $1600 for 25,000 mile / 25mth warranty. The vehicle has to be inspected first I believe, and has to be under 60k miles at purchase. This would pay for itself after one major shop visit...like tranny or something.

Let me know whether this sounds decent, or if you know of much better places to get extended warranties. This quote was for a '98 GTP from WarrantDirect.com

Take care,
Paul

Prefered Warranty is who I used on the infiniti. They have been great. Payed for itself already with just a few minor things. The warranty wasn't supposed to cover the struts but they told my mechanic that it did. He ordered the struts and put them on. When he called them back to tell them he had completed the repair they said they had made a mistake but would cover the entire repair anyway. They are also always really curtious on the phone. I have been very impressed. I will purchase this warranty again on my next used car.

If you can join a credit union they usually do extended warranties with CUNA Mutual. They call them mechanical coverage, and they are WAY cheaper and cover more than any aftermarket warranties I've ever seen. Plus most of their plans are $50 deductible. You can even get a $0 deductible for just a tad more.
