I luagh/smile too much and think I would have my ass kicked for laughing/smiling at things the Di's would say. Funny thing is, I was a DI in cadet's and absolutely loved drill and parades.

That long arsed run along the fencline of the airport around MCRD/SD...
OMG, I hated that spot, with damn 747's landing 20 feet away, just over the fence! Ugh!
And what about the water along the track? Ya know, yer running in Cali sun, in the middle of summer, and then ya get sprayed with water, and as you run out you see the sign: "Runoff water, do not drink". UGH.
I just called the Gunny here in town, and he said the new reqs for PFT for perfect score are as follows:
3mi in 18:00 20 deadhang pullups (we had to do 30 for perfect, but were allowed to kip-up) 100 situps in 2:00 (that's the EASY one)

I had to laugh at your post, 100% true. the aircraft landing and leaving is like a teaser. And yes that is the 'easy' one, even I with my gut could/can do the 100, but like I said, no more butt bouncing on the sit ups though....they changed it so, its almost 'crunch' like.... I'd have tos how ya. Originally posted by EternalOne: 100 situps in 2:00 (that's the EASY one)

Brain - "hop the fence, hop the fence and run for it!"
Heart and Soul - "hang tough, you can make it!"
The airport was such a tease. All those damn planes going somewhere...
Boot Camp was one of the best experiences of my life - I remember much of it like it was last week!

Also, right before I got out, they changed the sit ups as well. No 'kipping' there either....that's all I can remember.
Man, that blows! "Kipping" was my secret weapon to regularly do 40+ pullups and 150+ situps! Not that I could do half that amount now even with the "kip".

Heh, all the tips given so far even work for Air Force BMT...
The biggest part is the mind games, and as mentioned definatly not personal. After graduating, you realize how easy it was and how you thought it was much harder as you were in it.
The AF standards are this for 100% for <25yo males:
<=9:36 for 1.5miles (50 points)
<=32" waist (30 points)
62+ pushups 1 min (10 points)
55+ pushups 1 min (10 points)
As you can see, each is awarded points, with the run being the biggest, and waist size the 2nd biggest, and pushups/situps not counting that much. 75% is passing.
EDIT: by the way, what is "kipping"? Also I couldn't do more than like 5 pull ups... they're not required, but if you do 10 or 20 or something plus 100% on fitness, you can get special recognition and possibly an extra ribbon if you also do well on the tests (95%+)
