I just put together a new system which is getting installed on wednesday. However, I allready know I have a problem. I bought a PG QX 2180 to power a blueprint 1001 sub. The amp is rated at 180x1, so i realize I could use a little more power. I intended on running a pair of mb quart rsb 215's of the HU, but I realize that they also need more power. So i'm thinking of running the quarts off the PG and getting a bigger amp for the sub. I came across this amp on ubid, and know nothing about them. I like the the looks of it and the price is good, but if the amp sucks then i'm going to start looking for a PG QX 2350 to match the other one. The amp is a MA Audio HC 1302. Any insight on this would be great. THX, Vinny

I would stick with one of the PG models. I have heard some great reviews of MA Audio, but even more negative press. Like everything else, you have to take the reviews with a grain of salt, but MA is a new commodity that could be great, PG is a proven commodity that is great.

I have a QX2180, I ran my PB15 with it to see what it would sound like and it worked really well (surprised the hell out of me actually) I love that little amp, it now has front door duties, I've had it for a LONG time and anything it runs always sounds great! smile

thanks honkeytonk for your reply; I'm glad to know that it powered that particular sub fairly well. I think mine will end up running my components up front also. I still think i'm going to look for a qx2350 for the sub, "unless I think the 2180 is fine for the sub". In that case i'll just buy another 2180 and have 2 of them.
