NEW here, so please work with me.
I am hoping to find a seriously damaged CSVT, or MTX75 equiped Contour which was bolted behind a 2.5 (not the Zetec MTX75). Buying pieces and parts is probably not the best solution for me as I need the MTX, the master and slave cylinders and plumbing, the shift tower, the cable, and everything that goes with it, a flywheel would be nice just in case I end up needing it.
Anyone know of a rolled or otherwise structurally (or powerplant) trashed car that would have the above components in good shape in the Indiana, Southern Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Southern NY, or Mass. area? I don't really need a motor for this project, but I need all of the other driveline parts. The halfshaft and brackets would be nice to have as well.
I would prefer a working MTX, but it will probably get a quiafe installed in it anyway so if it needs some shift forks or something I may be agreeable with that as I can fix that at the same time.
Ideally a car that was rolled or something would be ideal. PM or email me at my registered forum address if you know of something that will fit this ticket. I don't want to take a car from the market that is possibly rebuildable, but would rather take a car that was only good for parts to begin with so as to not reduce the already limited number of these vehciles out there. I know how that would feel as I own two of the V8 SHO's and I almost cry whenever I see someone part out a car that would be repairable and could have been returned to the street where it belongs.
