Anyone measured? Specifically from the the top of the forward most bank of the LIM to the top of the hood? Is there 5-6" or more like 3-4"?
I offer PnP Heads for all durtec's details at PnPheads.com or jesse@pnpheads.com for details.

I didn't know you had that much money to burn.
To do it right (not just slap a SC on) check out how much guys like buckshot, ssumich and beyondloaded have spent. No offense to them, but I just can't justify spending that kind of money on a 5+ year old FWD car w/ so many issues.

More like about 1" if you're lucky...
Put it this way.
The stock 1/2" hood blanket rubbed on the UIM.
The 3L valve cover with the top mount oil cap hits the hood.
{edit}
oops..
Let me check the LIM to UIM clearance...
4" from the top of the LIM to the top of the UIM.

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

Mostly dreams right now but...All depends on how much I pay for the donor 3L

How do you figure? Buy wheels & tires for $1500 - sell for $1200. Repeat process. Well short of a full 3L + SC + clutch + flywheel + LSD + upgraded everything.

I know...just messin with you. It would be quite a bit, but $3500 for the SC vs. $5500 for the Turbo looks tempting if it would fit. Plus it would be different

I have to agree, especially since buying my truck, I've thought about just driving the CSVT. It is a fun little car though. I still love driving it even after having 400hp/500ftlbs of torque under my foot :-) Originally posted by SVT PETE: I didn't know you had that much money to burn.
