Anybody near here installed the diablo chip?

I just got mine in the mail and was going to give it a go. I have done a search and there are a lot of people that talk about preparation w/ scotch bright etc...

But I can't find a step by step anywhere.

The directions are pretty thorough, but also claim that I have to remove the ECU is that true?
