im trying to run my interiors with my amp which is in the trunk, but theres no sound(problem).i have all the speaker cables and the RCA's running to the amp. I set my line in switch on the HU which is for external amps and my stock ones work when i set the line out switch for an internal amp no speakers work, i have my new ones with all the connections in the front and stock in back.is there a factory amp in my car?wiil that effect it?i have a 98 csvt.
yes there is a factory amp. it's located behind the glovebox. if you go to any audio shop the should have an amp bypass harness that can be sacraficed to make the wireing really easy. much easier than running wires to every speaker

yessss, ive done this before, just not with these components.i even ran the speakers directly from the amp, cause im running them through the crossover, and no go, so its either the HU or the AMP not giving the signal.

So im thinking i have to disconnect the factory one, its causing an interference.
Teh factory amp needs to be bypassed. It can't accept the input voltage from your other amp. Go to a good audio shop and tell them you have a ford premium sound package and that you need th amp bypass harness. It hook the input into the factory amp to the output to the speakers. That way you use the wires behind your HU and it goes to your speakers.

I had a similar problem. Come to find out it was the turn on signal from the factory radio to the factory amp. The signal was not strong enough to turn on my Presion Power amp and the factory amp at the sametime. To solve the problem I used the antenna signal to turn on the amp instead of the factory amp turn on signal
