I have a problem with my dome light. The little casing rail that holds it up there has cracked and broken which I believe was from the summer heat. The dome light is no longer up there. There are 2 phillips screws holding the rail up to the roof of the car.

My problem is I cant get them out. They seem to be stuck. Has anyone had this problem or have a suggestion as to getting them out?

Cant turn at all. Almost stripped the head trying to get them out.

As for the pic if you take out the dome light, its a 95 GL what i have, so if you take yours out it should hopefully look the same. Its just 2 screws that are up there.

I don't wanna sound stupid but do u use the right tool? Good phillips size? As you said the trim is already broken so you can cut the two notches just besides the srews and remove the trim pulling backway. Try using loose nut for the srews.

Nic.
