Well I thought I'd post some last pics of her. And mostly I just wanted to say thatnks to everyone on this site. Who helped me through too many things to mention, from mods to troubleshooting to coming to my house to add some help. Without this site I would have been lost in a lot of ways. And thanks especially to Lance for putting in the work he has to keep such a great site going. I'll never be able to stop being an addict I guess. Well I'm rambling here she is..

And her demise...

Didn't get much money out of her, but after trying to decide what to get next for so long, I just have to get another one. Flawed as they can be, I'm in love with these cars. Thanks again everyone.

..How the hell did insurance say that damage exceeds $5000?

KBB value (100,000 miles, excellent condition, $5080)

Your insurance is ghey

No crap, that sounds fishy to me. I got in an accident when i first got my SVT (no other cars were involved), but I had similar damage. Went over a curb and the front fender smacked a small pine tree. I needed new front tires, wheels, control arm, strut, fender, painting of the hood, bumber and fender and i think the damaged ran my insurance company like $2,300.

isn't for a vehicle to be considered totalled, the damage has to be one half of the actual value of the car. that is what i have always thought.

I know in the case of my friends truck, it was 80% of the value was the limit. It looks as if the roofline might have collapsed right around where the winshield meets the roof on the passenger side. But i could be mistaken. Repair costs can rack up quick.
