Im finanly about to pay my car off and with about 130k plus on the motor Im thinking that it would be a good idea to get a new motor. I've done some searching on the forum to find out how easy it would be to swap out my regular duratec to an SVT engine. I was suprise to see that 99% of members recomended going with a 3.0L, because it was easier and probably cheaper vs a svt 2.5L. However I have a few questions,
1st if I go with a 3.0 does it mean I don't have to swap the computer? (that would be great because the whole key, door locks, and ingnition would be a pain)
2nd if were going 3.0 would the 3.0 duratec from the mazda 6 work? I know this would mean swaping out the computer, key, locks, the whole nine but if Im gonna swap might as well go big.
3rd if I go with a 3.0 (mazdas or fords) can I still put the Street Flight trubo kit on it cause that's something I plan on doing in the future?
I know my little novel is knida long but I want to make sure that I plan this out well, because I want to do this rigth. Any input would be great, I surrender myself to the Contour Gurus.
