I may be the first to ask this question, but why stay stock??? why not go to walmart, circuit city or best buy and get the cheapest set of 5x8"s you can buy... they will sound so much better than stock. I've got connections to SUPER cheap speakers if you want them.

I think I have some in my garage, but honestly don't know if it's worth shipping them...try www.discountsjungle.com you can get cheap stuff (some is refurbished, but some are new)

I would see your point of view as well, and suggest the same thing. but I dont really think he cares a whole lot about great sound, hes probibly not a music junkie like some of the people on their site. I know I liked my SVT speakers a lot, but they just barely didnt cut it for me. But they were a nice upgrade from my stock 96 speakers. They a much more rich type of bass to them.

It's all about who I make happy this Christmas season and unfortunatly I have slim to no funds. So, My children are getting what ever is left after a few bills. I figured I'd ask as most of you have swapped out your old stock/SVT stock speakers for better quailty, and output ones.
And yes Alias these have much better output compared to the stockers. BTW, I blew the stockers as they only supported 20w of power vs the 45w x 4 I am using via my Pioneer HU.
How much do the SVT stockers support?

the SVT stockers are the same wattage as the stock ones... They just are better made then the 96 GL ones... the 99SVT speakers are Made in England, where as the 96gl ones are made in the US of A.
