I have yet to ever use Mobil 1 Super Syth. but I was at the store earlier and was able to get 12 qrts. for $11.98, so I thought what the heck, once the motor is back in the car and through the break in stage, why not. Anyway, was this as good of a deal as I think it is?

syn oil is like $5 each, you might have gotten normal oil unless someone is playing games. Distributor prices are $4 per gallon. A friends dad sells them for $4. he is just using it so he can get the oil for cheap for his cars.$4 is the cheapest you will probably see it.
What weight is it?

This is what I got. I know it's 10w not 5w, but for a summer car and at that price I figured it would be crazy not to buy it, especially since from what I'm gathering I got it for less than whole sale.
Todras - I got it at the new Meijer in Rockford; when I told my dad about it he sent me to see if I could get more, but the "Temporary Price Drop" sign that was up when I bought mine, was gone.

You got lucky it sounds at that price. The only problem is that I wouldn't run anything other than 5w in a Duratec.

Bring it back somewhere else (walmart?) and tell them you just picked up the wrong kind.

I bet you it was a retailer screw-up... and someone caught it later.
I love Meijer's automotive department... they carry Zymol spray detailer...
