If you are completly ditching the latch, get locking hood pins. I believe most autoparts places carry them, check around. Alot of the locking ones also have a lower profile and IMO look better anyway. Basicly all you need to do is decide on your under hood location, probably close to the adjustment bumpers and whre there is some bracing under the hood. Also find a spot where they will sit the most verticle. Once you decide where, transfer your local to the top side, tape the area so as not to rip apart the CF and double check, then drill. check out Stazi's car, I know he has pins. PM him for any other specifics. Good Luck.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!

took me like 2 hours to figure out what was wrong but i got it. i took my grill out o see if i could figure it out and what it was the latch didn't go low enought for the hood to latch and the latch was to close to the front clip (frame) so what i did was dremeled maybe a half inch up on all three holes on the latch and then put a spacer behind the latch that i made out of 3 8th inch sheet metal. and then i put in behind the latch so it brought the latch out more. and what do you know it worked i was so happy that i didn;t have to put hood pins in my hood and ruin my whole look of a good hood. so if you need any advice i would be more then happpy to give it to you when you get your hood in.

the reason why i had to do that to my latch was cause the hook on my stock hood wasn;t as long as the hook on my CF hood.

Even with just the latch I would still highly recommend getting hood pins. Just the Latch could still make your hood wobble in high speed and very dangerous. Compare the weight of your heavy stock hood and this light and flexible CF hood!
