I was given a 1996 Mercury Mystique Spree not long ago. I was wondering if parts from a contour would fit on it like hood, fenders, body kits or anything like that. It was my sisters and she hit a deer in the front end. i am having trouble finding parts for it but its a nice little car and i would like to get a new hood and everything for it. it runs awesome though and cant bare for it to be parked or junked. Since I was getting a new hood and everything i was wanting to put a body kit on it but cant find them for mystiques. WIll they fit from a contour or not? THank you guys for your help

SVT side skirts and rear bumper are a direct fit for any Contour or Mystique, although you may have to do alittle drilling if not originally equiped with skirts. For the front bumper, that would have to be completely custom. There are few kits for the Contour and none I know of made for either the pre or post 98 Mystique. Good luck and welcome.

I believe theres been a few people who have grafted the lower part of the front SVT bumper cover onto the upper section of the Mystique cover. You should be able to find info and possibly pictures by searching through old posts.

I thought Spree's were Mercury Trio models.

IIRC the "Spree" is roughly the same as Contour "Sport" models, although I'm not sure that that means much more than a little more cosmetic flair/quality in the interiors.
