All I can say is what a difference from those factory "Premium" models! I compared them side by side (pics below) and I was shocked to find the "good" stereo from Ford was 20W?! The new ones are only mid-range (opposed to mid-bass) and can still vibrate your back!

They are 160W each and I highly reccomend getting all FOUR doors done. These rear speakers are more than just "fill" as I discovered when installing the fronts only for a few weeks. With the rear speakers added, well, words can't say enough.

good clear sound, my hu is 50x4, i'm gonna stick with that for now...so i looking for a range of 35 watts to 100 watts rms.....i would prefer to avoid components, unless the price is really good....i have 4"x6" component plates by pioneer, do you guys think these will fit in my doors....i'd like to use them because of the high-pass x-overs that come with them....and maybe just put some 6"x8" in the rear doors....any other suggestions????thanks guys

FYI, your HU puts out about 20x4 RMS. That 50x4 is a peak measurement which is for the most part a useless marketing gimmick.

I wouldn't use the 4x6 plates if you plan on a system without a dedicated sub.

How hard is it to install the pioneer 6X9's in the front and rear?

IIRC the model # was TS-A6995 Anyone have these or recommend them?

I have the premiere version of the Pioneer 3-ways (TS-906), and they just took new holes in the front and new holes + a little grinding in the rear. But be careful with those 4-ways. My friend got the premiere version of those for his car, and they are considerably deeper and bigger than mine, because of the larger magnet. You'd probably have to use a spacer to clear the window.

How about buying/making an adapter for 5 1/4 or 6 1/2" speakers? That would give you a lot of choices.

thanks for the heads up, but it's 22watts rms...it's usually half or a little less than half of the peak power...but thanks anyways...do you think i'd need to make a mount of some sort...since i'm putting 4"x6" plates in a 6" x 8" opening???? i gues i'm just going to have to rip the door panel off and check for myself.....someone said that they put 6"x9" in the doors....how long did it take to modify the opening? thanks guys
