Someone just clear me up on "moosing". Is it when I go to press the clutch in sometimes, and the RPM will fall to 500, then catch itself and go back up to 750?? I already replaced my TP sensor, so it's not that for sure. This only seems to happen after driving, and constantly pressing the clutch in though. Could it be the IAC valve??
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

Likely the IAC valve. moosing is the foghorn type noise from Air breather pipe

when you here it you won't have to ask. it will sound like a fog horn coming from your engine.

So is there really a fix for a 2000 SVT? I have to hear this almost every time I am not on the gas pedal. (Well...atlease every few times)

yes....basically there are 2, one official and one unofficial. officially: there is the fix for the moosing unofficially some people like to do the throttle hang fix. it is said that it works and it is cheap. read both and draw your own conclusion

So from reading that, it seems that only happens with the A/C running; for the most part? Mine only does it in the winter.

mine usually doesn't just do it all by itself......99% it must be induced by reving the engine while not moving. actually my moose moved to a different place on the tach after adjusting the air filter housing.

Yeh, mine only did it in the winter as well. Something to do with the airflow at diff temps. Installed the copper plug in the line with a 7/32 hole drilled in it and its fine now.

Mine does it all the time if it's below freezing (I'm in MT, so a lot). I can start the car, let it sit just fine with no moosing, if I turn on the defrost (which uses the A/C), it will moose with only cure is to rev the engine.
Also if it's just sitting there minding it's own business and I barely turn the steering wheel, it'll moose until I tap the gas.
Seems to be any load on the engine while it's cold causes it.
I have yet to do the copper plug thing, mostly becuase I forget , but I'm gonna do it.
