After many months of waiting, I finally got a prototype air filter heat shield installed on my SVT today. It's a one off at the moment, customized to work around the wiring and other things around the area of the filter. I have not sourced a proper seal for the top of the shield, but it's too cold now to worry about it. I'll find something next season. The back side of the shield is covered in a reflective radiant material, which will reflect the heat back towards the engine. (forgot to take pics, as the camera battery was low) Here are some pics. A generic heat shield can be made for the SC'd vehicles using a similar set up to mine, but the end user would have to cut and modify the shields to suit their own needs. Mine was customized to accomodate the battery terminal block and wiring, as well as the breaker for the amps.

The heat shield was mocked, and prototyped off my SVT, so to get one done for your set up, the manufacturer that built mine, would have to have your car to be able to prototype and produce the first one.

Hector, can you email me some pics, or post a link, showing close ups of your filter set up? I can then show the manufacturer.
Thanks.
