I was trying to put a link to a Yahoo mail account on my desktop, so tried "set desktop item", and it put a little window at the top left corner of my screen. I can't seem to figure out a way to remove this screen. Any help?

Thanks,
~Paul

Clafify this a little bit more- how did you set a link as a desktop item?? I'm confused, post with more info and I will try to help.

If it's what I'm thinking... you added a web item to the desktop...

If that's the case, if you have XP, right click desktop anywhere then select the "Desktop" tab on the top, then the button "Customize Desktop", then the tab "Web" in the new page. Uncheck what you made. Might be similar on 98/ME/2K.

Also if you hover the mouse near the top of the item, a menu bar will appear, click the "x" to make it go away.

That's all assuming you did what I think you did.
