My current alpine HU has two sets of pre-outs. Both sets are running to my 4 channel amp, which are powering some Infinty door speakers.

There is a pretty nice deal on subs an amp and a box. How would i go about wiring this, or do i need a new HU?

Amp currently installed is a JBL P80.4

i suppose you could split the rear door chanell signal and run it to both amps

but someone else might have a better way of doing it

on my set up I have front and rear outs plus sub outs so that made connections easy, this way I can control the sub level independed of everything else

I am guessing that the new amp you are getting isn't a realy old model. If this is true the new amp should have a built in set of RCA outputs in order for you to connect secondary amps with.

If so you can easlily run one set of cables to each amp from your HU and run the third set of cables from the new amp output to the other JBL amp input. Everything should work as normal after that.

Yeah I am running two amps and I had to split my RCA cables... $10 at Radioshack for the splitters. Okay now that I have said it, its a completely different situation! SOrry about that!
