so your taking either the premier or the arsenal just because of the 2 year warranty correct?? because that's the only difference they have over the regular pioneer ane JVC units.

Not just the two year warranty ... more based on the selection that the shop has stock on since it's being done at the same time as the alarm and the amount is within the amount authorized by my insurance claim.

guys----- it's like anything out there---- there will be good and bad within many brands of products--- there are great pioneer head units, and there are crap ones---- there are great jvc head units, and there are crap ones----simple brand x is better than brand y statements don't help anybody
johnny---- there little discernable difference between those two units---- go with whichever you like the best or what is cheaper..........DC

Thanks for all the input guys ... did the Pioneer 560MP (no 760's in stock and they are so similar except for the OEL display ... which would have been cool but I really wasn't into waiting or dealing with more than one shop) but with the 760 remote thrown in.
The sound is pretty good (really can't tell a difference between it and the Eclipse it's replacing) and they did a great job with the alarm install (Compustar 2W800FMR-A).

Also, one of the car audio magazines just tested one of JVC's higher-end decks (last month in Car Audio & Electronics, I think) and it turned out to be one of the best they had ever tested.
I personally would pick JVC over Pioneer based on performance any day of the week.
Which JVC are you speaking of that got such high results? Would it be the one RawBurt got? cuzz i was looking into that 1
Still Wondering the asnwer to this 1

I've been trying to find the review online in one of the magazines. I can't remember which magazine it was, but I think it was the KD-AR7000 that was reviewed.
