i'd seriously consider one for < $25k!

i just don't understand why it doesn't have seats that fold down or at least a pass through. what car these days does not have direct access to the trunk? stupid GM.

Why is that such a big deal? The trunk is almost nonexistent anyways....

because it's like a zero cost feature that all cars except some Contiques have. Even the RX8 becomes more compelling with a pass through. at least you can carry a set of skis.

the point ain't the size of the trunk, but the pass-thru feature.

Baco: The trunk holds the gas-tank so it is impossible to have a pass-through or fold down seats. The fuel tank was relocated in order to make it crash-test worthy for US standards.

All I know is I like the subtle GTO body in comparison to the awful looking '05 Mustang. Along with the EXCLUSIVITY the GTO has.

Well Goddamn. Any idiot can figure that out.

BTW, it's not called "exclusivity" when nobody's buying the car to start with.

that's a lame excuse. a huge company with millions of dollars in R&D budgeting can't figure out a way to fit a gas tank and a pass-thru? whatever, they just didn't think! and they sure as hell never asked customers what they wanted!

jesus dude you act like someone ran over your mother in a mustang or something....geez...every thread that even mentions a mustang you come on here spouting off how they suck...did a mustang make that poor baby cry one day cuz its faster than your tour poor thing....

do you own a mustang or gto?????well then YOU don't know jack about the subject so keep your trap shut...and did you interview "EVERY" automotive journalist and they told you that huh???i didn't realize that they were comparing a new car to a ten year old car, when testing them that's interesting...so until you own both or at least drive both YOUR opinion means absolutely NOTHING.....you need to get your panties out of a bunch and quit crying about mustangs....

and i bet you MY sn-95 mustang is superior to what you drive so do you have a point????????no didn;t think so...and so what now "exclusitivity" means driving a car that nobody is buying.....

I guess I'm just not one to care about trunk space so I can't really say it matters to myself, however, I can understand what you are saying. The only thing that matters to me really is that the whole car shakes when I'm at a stop and when I press down the pedal it goes pretty fast and 5.3 0-60 is more than enough for me. The exaust note on this car stock is also a very hot commodity.

I would guess its not an engineering or fitment issue, but rather a legal issue with having an open avenue from the gas tank to the passenger compartment... if the tank is in the trunk, they probably need some sort of firewall against the rear seats.

Again, I have no idea, just an educated guess..

That's it in a nutshell what every new GTO owner has told me about the car. It has a lopey idle and the whole car kinda shakes when at a stoplight. That's what my old big block 4-4-2 used to do
