I am considering buying an Escape and am concerned that the CD4E might have the same issues as the ones used in our Contours. Does anyone have any experience with the Excape?

My parents have leased a 2004 and currently are leasing a 2005. Neither of which have had any problems. Pretty quick too.

Yes and No.

They use the same trans. It sstill has issues, but not as many. You can read up about Escapes at www.escape-central.com

I have a 2003 and no problems so far.

Get the Mercury version, whats it called, Mariner or something like that... they look sick!
