I had my 99 CSVT at the dealer, they engine light WAS on and they pulled the code. The tech says he gets code P176 and that one of the HEGO sensor's needs to be replaced....

WTF is P176? Isn't a 99 SVT an OBD-II car.... OBD-I P176 IS an ox sensor I think.... WTF is up?

Anyone shed some light on this for me?

Go back and get the correct code. 4-digits.

P0176 Flexible Fuel Sensor.

The sensor input signal to PCM is continuously moniterod. The test fails when the sensor exceeds or falls before a max. or min. calibrated range.

FF = flexible flue

Causes
-Open or short in FF sensor VPWR circuit
-open in battery ground to FF sensor circuit
-open in FF sensor signa; circuit
-short to ground in FF signal circuit
-fuel contamination
-short to VPWR in FF sensor battery ground circuit
-short to VPWR in FF sensor signal circuit
-fuel seperation
-damaged FF sensor
-damaged PCM

If it were me I would find out where the hell the sensor is and clean out the contacts and make sure it is plugged in snugly.
