First lets clarify

A: Complete Dash, gauge, hvac, center console, and actual dash piece.
B: Partial, Gauge, hvac, center console
C: center console, hvac and center console.

A: not worth the time
B: Did all but head light and gauge area, will be doing it soon. looks good (except the gauge area on 98 looks better
C: Good cheap thing to do.

Price
A: More then worth thinking about
B $50 or so, All my pieces were $35.
C: $25-50.

Reading between the lines I think he's trying to fix or prevent dash warp. Am I wrong?

The piece under the windshield from a 95-8 could fit into a 99-00. Some have done that mod.

Exactly... I want to install a pre 98 dash, Correct me if i am mistaken but, aside from the passenger side vent, everything will "fit" in both the pre 98 as well as a post 98 dash as shown in the 98 contours where they have the "updated" hvac, console, and guages.

Oh yeah and about how much am i looking to pay for one?

The problem did not exist until 99 so a 98 dash would also solve your problem.

You can pick one up at the wreckers for $250. Before you do that be warned that the earlier dashes come unglued as well. It is not as noticable because of the extra trim piece that wraps the windshield but they do come unglued where the dash goes behind the instrument cluster, HVAC panel and glove box. I discovered this during my search for a replacement dash. You may also want to consider a Mystique dash IMHO they look better. What I did to resolve the problem was remove my dash any glued it back down with 2 part epoxy and it's been fine since. BTW the trim piece from the 95-98 cars that wraps the windshield is not removable so there is no way to mod it to a post 98.
