Finished up today...a huge improvement from stock although it wouldnt win any contests obviously.
Pioneer DEH1600 - 98 bucks on sale
4 Kenwood 6x8 2 ways. 99 bucks on sale
Bass Bockers. 20 bucks
Audio Craft slotted box 79 bucks (were out of sealed..)
2 x AudioPipe TSRD12 subs 120 bucks
Crunch PZN2250 amp. 99 bucks
8 Ga wiring kit 20 bucks
All retail and no doubt could have done better off Ebay but its a fairly decent sounding system for the money invested.

pics ? lol..... y'all would get a good laugh out of it ! Amp is velcro'd on top of the box and the box is velcro'd to the floor. Trunk needs vacuumed and I still got a little wire tying and hiding to do.

Nothing wrong with being redneck for a while, my tweets are mounted to the A-Pillars with duct tape, so that isn't that bad.... I take it you got the lower end kenwoods... I've never been impressed with any of their stuff, except the eXcelon line, and that stuff is a little expensive...BTW, has anyone else seen their new 1000+ dollar sub yet? It looks like a standard eXcelon, but a lot bigger in depth and a different cone material... but it does look pretty mean.... I wish I could find someone online who has one just to see what they sound like.....

Don't worry, i've been bumping my ghettoriffic system for the last 3ish years. A wiring kit, sealed box, amp and 12" sub for $100....I pieced it together when i had very little money. It's okay to be ghetto sometimes  ....hell my system survived a crash where i was t-boned in my first mystique by a car going 45 mph...sometimes you get lucky with the ghettoness.

Nothing wrong with being ghetto for awhiles.... besides, whatever it takes to save time usually gets implemented when you don't want to take the time to finish it professionally.... like me... I just wanted to get mine installed and playing as soon as they arrived.... which I did....

Cheapo? That sounds, well alright, if you comapre to some peoples systems, but thats sounds like a pretty stright system. Get some pics up so we can see it!

That's cool, but I wouldn't call it cheapo. I paid $80 for 2 12"s in box and $5 amp, $10 for wires.

I would, but unfortunately for me, I am broke, and still looking for a job, as I was fired for literally no reason at all from my last job. They didn't even tell me I was fired... I had to find out when I went to pick up my check, so yeah, that might take a while to get some pics.... and no, none of my friends have a cam, else I would ask to borrow it....
