I'm getting ready to flush my cooling system. I bought some extra gallons of coolant a year or so ago when it was on sale. Now I'm reading that coolant w/silicates (green stuff) has a shelf-life of only 18 months. (And who knows how long it has been sitting around at the store/warehouse.)
I guess I should buy some new coolant, & not take a chance with what I have - it may be too old & some silicates may have already precipitated out.
Anyone using the regular green coolant may want take this into consideration.
