How do you know what your build date and svt producation number is without the original documentation, is it on a tag somewhere?

IIRC, you can call Ford-SVT with your VIN. If Ford SVT still takes calls/still exists.

SVT exists, and according to the horse's mouth, will continue to exist. Its only 66% of their product line that has been axed.

If you check in theFAQ in the VIN decoder, shouldn't that suppose to be the 12-17 digits of your VIN? I might be wrong, but...

Nic.

Yep!
Call that number, give them your VIN and they can tell you what your build number is. Ask them about getting the certificate with the build info on it. The certificate is free, IIRC.
