Thought you guys would like this story, since you all know that my car maintenance skills are pretty lacking:

For the last few months there has been this annoying rattling in the SVT. Usually it happened about 2000 RPM, so I figured that it was a piece of metal or something that was loose or maybe vibrating with a certain engine pitch. But tonight on my way home from class I figured out what it was.

It was actually my old U of U parking pass that has been hanging (expired) from my rear-view mirror. It's made of hard plastic and it was rattling against the mirror at low RPMs. As I reached to adjust my mirror, I bumped the thing and noticed that the rattling stopped.

So now, no more rattle. And here I thought it was something that would require skill or effort to fix...

I used to be the rattle finding KING back when I had an Escort. The SVT has actually been pretty rattle free. Now, squeeks...that's a different story *cough*rear sway bar*cough*
Glad it turned out to be an easy fix!

It used to be easier to get underneath my car and do a quick rsb grease-up...but not so easy now.
