My SVT front bumper has alot of give in it. The whole thing is pretty loose, I can grab it and wiggle it up and down quite a bit. I bought it this way hoping that I would be able to tighten it up. After searching this is what I found. I belive the first part is for taking off the SVT front bumper, so would tightening these screws and bolts do the tirck?

I also found a part # for SVT front bumper support brackets while searching. Do I ned to buy this? I am hoping just tightening some bolts and screws will work instead of buying the part. If anyone knows the answer or has expierienced the same thing and fixed it please inform me on the "how-to". Thanks in advance

For SVTs at least:

1 phillips inside front of each wheel well
-turn wheel in each direction to get to them easier

2 8mm bolts holding the bumper on
-pull wheel well liner back and feel up towards where bumper meets fender
-easiest to removed with a long extension

2 plastic push retainers under front oval/grill
-use a flathead screwdriver and pull up on each

The part # for the SVT front bumper support brackets is F8RZ-17765-AA

The "How-to" you outlined is right on.

Just tighten everything up and see if that makes a difference.

Be sure that the 2 plastic retaining pins under the front oval are there/in tact.

The bumper support brackets are a waste IMHO.

Ok I'll try tightening everything up. Thanks alot. Hopefully that takes care of it. You said you dont think the support brackets are worth it. What about if I am planning to put on a Mirko splitter (I am going to use the Dzrus (spelling) screws to hold it on)...will the Mirko cause the bumper to sag and will I need the support brackets then? Thanks in advance.

With the slightly added weight and drag of the Mirko splitter, the bumper braces are probably a good idea.
