I am looking into a set of 19x8.5 43mm offset wheels, with 225/35 or 235/35 skins on 'em. Will this work? I have H+R springs right now. Will I need fender roll or what about these spacers I have seen mentioned on this site. where would I get those? right now my 18X7.5 42mm 215/35's roll fine with no rub what so ever, I have about an inch of space between top of tire and fender at this point. Thanks Fellas good looking out!!!

I have 19x8 (45mm offset) Axis Se7en Mods wrapped with 235/35/19 Goodyear Eagle F1s. This is the only 235 series tire you can find in 19" that will stay around the stock diameter. Every other 235 series tire is about an inch over stock which will cause some clearance issues. Anything lower like a 215 tire will be stretched over the rim and look goofy, not to mention your wheel will be more prone to curb rash. Im running the stock suspension (for now) and i have no rubbing issues at all. My tires barely clear the fender in the back and theres probably 3/8"-0.5" of play between the tire and strut, so running a 8.5" wide wheel may cause some issues. However, because of my 13" Baer brakes and I have a 2.5" lip on these wheels, Im having to run custom 13mm spacers to give an 1/8" clearance between my wheel and brakes. I still havent found the right size lengthened wheel studs to date. If you buy spacers from H&R they will provide you with studs.

Jim,
you should have put 2 of them on the back and drove around to see if you had any rubbing. You may not notice any rubbing until you start to make turns, as the drag radials I had on my car for a day(245/50/16) didn't rub until I turned, anywhere above 10mph. You're best bet is to get some advice from someone that's had 19's on their tour, but unfortunately you're limited to about 2-3 people on here. I think Jim will even have a different kind of rubbing(if any) after he gets the lengthened wheel studs and the spacers on, as this will move the offset of the wheel out.

yeah, i guess i should have commented about that. Basically, I have no rubbing issues in the back. I would guess I have no issues in the front either, but we'll have to find out.
